  • Welcome cocktail: The evening before the workshop, Wednesday 8th of February at 5.30pm, there will be a welcome cocktail at The George: 216 St Georges Terrace, Perth. This will be a small socializing event to get to know each other. Each participant will be entitled to one complimentary drink at the bar (spirits excluded).

  • Dinner reception: The dinner reception will take place at The Stables restaurant: 888 Hay St, Perth on the first day of the workshop, Thursday 9th of February at 6pm.

  • Hotels nearby: Most of the hotels in the CBD are within walking distance of the workshop location. However, the closest hotels are the Parmelia Hilton Perth, The Holiday Inn and the InterContinental Perth. There are also apartment studio rentals at the Citadines St Georges Terrace.

  • Public transportation: St Georges Terrace is one of the most central streets in the CBD, the closest metro stations are ‘Elizabeth Quay’ and ‘Perth Underground’. They serve all metro lines, including the new airport stations: ‘Airport Central Station (T1, T2)’ and the ‘Redcliffe Station (T3, T4)’. In front of the workshop location, we also have a free bus service around Perth CBD: the blue and green free CAT. The yellow and red free CAT are also within walking distance.

  • Taxi services to the CBD from the airport: A cab from the airport to the CBD cost approximately $35AUD to $50AUD.

  • Visa application: Please remember that if you are coming to Australia from overseas you will probably need a visa. This process is relatively straightforward for most nationalities; in most cases, it only takes 24 hours to process. If you need an official invitation, please let us know as soon as possible.

  • Time zone: Perth’s time zone is Australian Western Standard Time (AWST), GMT+8. Western Australia does not have daylight saving time, therefore we are three hours behind Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra and two hours behind Brisbane. We are also in the same time zone as most Southeast Asian countries.
